The Morse approach to BCR is based on industry best practice including PAS 56 and ITIL. By leveraging industry best practice, Morse customers benefit from more flexible, efficient and effective solution.
The Morse Approach is based on four stages:
- Initiation: Establish current business continuity maturity, identify main threats, consider "buy-in" of organisation to BCR, and agreeing scope and objectives.
- Requirements and strategy: Identify value, risks and business implications, and establish measurable priorities to meet the necessary recovery requirements. Identify risk controls and develop cost effective recovery strategies.
- Implementation: Develop the business continuity plan, and procedures as well as planning, co-ordination, evaluation and documentation of exercises. Select service providers and implementing enabling technologies.
- Operational management: Ongoing communication with stakeholders, regular operational reviews in conjunction with change and configuration management processes. End-to-end testing to maintain technical confidence and assured business response. Ensuring continued compliance with regulatory, commercial and technical requirements.
