In this article, Morse's Philip Wicks comments on productivity levels on the first day back at work after the Christmas break. A long Christmas break can lead to a long list of e-mails to sort through as well as numerous social catch-ups with work colleagues. As a result of having switched their blackberries off during the Christmas break, employees spend their first day back sorting through the last three weeks of e-mails. Some people may also spend their time e-mailing their colleagues about their break and any news.
