Twitter costing UK business - Campaign

[30-10-2009]

In this article, Campaign reports on research sponsored by Morse on how office workers' use of Twitter and other social networking services is costing UK businesses £1.38bn a year in lost productivity. The majority of businesses still do not have guidelines set up on how their workers use social networking, meaning that workers are more likely to share inappropriate information or leave themselves open to security risks.

"The poll of 1 ,460 workers found that 57 percent of people spend 40 minutes on social networking sites each
week, equating to a loss of one working week per year per person.
