Facebook takes lion's share of social media audience's time - New Media Age

In this article, New Media Age reports on research sponsored by Morse on how office workers' use of Twitter and other social networking services is costing UK businesses £1.38bn a year in lost productivity. The majority of businesses still do not have guidelines set up on how their workers use social networking, meaning that workers are more likely to share inappropriate information or leave themselves open to security risks.

 

"It comes after research from IT services company Morse found office workers waste an average of 40 minutes a week on social networks, costing the British economy an estimated £1.38bn."
