The December edition of Waters magazine features an article, 'A Critical Eye' which looks at the impact that the worldwide credit crisis has had on other initiatives and projects. The article reports that IT budgets and priorities for 2008 will, for the most part, stay on course, though growth will be curbed.
Paul Miller, Partner, Morse, comments on the impact on the buy-side, 'I don't think the credit crunch has reduced budgets yet in most buyside firms'. He continues, 'I think it is taking away a little bit of confidence and as a result, projects will need to have a shorter time frame, if they are to be approved.'
