Applying usability theory to enhance your investment in SAP Portal
Tuesday 6th March 2007 - 10.00am to 3.00pm (including lunch)
Morse, Fleet, Hampshire, UK
NetWeaver - the fundamental building block of SAP's Enterprise Services Architecture vision, will be the platform on which all new SAP products are built. An essential element is SAP’s comprehensive Portal solution which contains knowledge management and collaboration capabilities.
Delivered correctly, the value proposition for Portal is compelling; applications such as employee self-service, manager self-service, B2B extranets and intranets, extract additional value from your SAP investment and provide an intuitive interface to back-office functionality. However, getting the usability of these solutions right will determine user uptake and, ultimately, project success.
Attend this ½ day workshop where Joanne Skerry PhD, Head of the Morse Usability Practice, will be giving a master-class in Portal usability. The agenda will include:
- Real life case study from one of our key clients
- What is usability?
- The Portal value proposition and building the business case
- How to develop a Portal roadmap
- Getting the information architecture and usability right
- Protecting your brand and the user experience
- Accessibility – avoiding non-compliance
- Content/iView development
- The future…the importance of usability in an enterprise services world
