The challenge

Morse assisted Insight Investment Management, the asset manager of HBOS plc, in the definition of its operations sourcing strategy.

The solution

This lead to a conclusion and business case that outsourcing selected functions within their back office was the preferred operating model required to support the business into the future.

Against a backdrop of diverse offerings from the market, we assisted in the selection of their preferred supplier, Northern Trust.

Support was provided to:

• Define the scope of the activities to be outsourced
• Due diligence of the third party capabilities across service (i.e. processing), IT, organisation, commercials, risk management and implementation
• Develop the contract and associated documents e.g. service level agreements
