Morse migrated, upgraded and consolidated the Oracle environment, making it easier to manage and maintain, reducing the amount of support needed and cutting the requirements for data centre space, power and cooling
Morse created three shared platforms. Applications and databases were migrated to the appropriate platform according to profile and workload. An 8i legacy platform was also created and applications which did not support 10g, or which would soon be replaced or decommissioned, were migrated onto it

Overnight "batch" processing performance has improved by as much as 50%, helping to widen the back-up window
Disaster recovery and back-up processes have been thoroughly tested and documentation has been refreshed to aid the support team and prepare for an upgrade to Oracle 11 in the future
