The challenge

Tetley wanted to cost-effectively introduce a shared services environment. This involved upgrading from SAP R/3 Enterprise to SAP ERP Central Component 5 to enable the implementation of the SAP Business Warehouse component, the SAP Unicode service and enterprise portals. To gain maximum value from the upgrade, Tetley also wanted to migrate from its Oracle database to Microsoft SQL Server and implement new hardware for the SAP environment.

The solution

Tetley managed the project with Morse guiding Tetley's technical team and helping to plan the upgrade project in the early stages. As the project progressed, Morse contributed at key stages. A coaching approach was used so that Tetley built its in-house expertise. The complex upgrade was implemented in several phases and each stage was tested on a proof of concept system.
