Storage core focus areas
Morse focuses on a number of core areas of storage to assist clients with defining and optimising their storage environments:
Data protection – to protect our client's most valued asset, their data, we will work on the implementation of effective back-up and recovery solutions to meet the needs of our clients in ensuring corporate governance. These solutions include Tivoli Storage Manager, HP DataProtector, Symantec NetBackup and Enterprise Vault.
Management – as our clients environments grow and evolve, we will identify the implementation of management and reporting tools to recognise how the data/systems/environment is currently managed, and to enable effective systems management.
Virtualisation – using the Morse virtualisation methodology we can demonstrate the advantages of using virtualisation technologies within the SAN, improving utilisation and performance whilst driving down storage Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Migration – where clients implement new arrays or simply move to a new datacentre, we need to ensure that the data reliability is maintained during any move, reducing risk and ensuring data integrity.
Disaster recovery and business continuity – to ensure data integrity in the event of an incident, Morse will work with our clients on the implementation of an effective solution to ensure that data is retained, even across multiple sites.
Information security – we will ensure that our clients’ data is protected to meet compliance regulations.
Archival – as data ages it does not change, therefore it is more efficient to implement an effective archival strategy to ensure that ageing data is not retained on expensive storage disks, and is only backed up when the data changes.
